Splash Remembers Sam Johnson

November 18, 2009

On November 14th, 2009, Sam Johnson, a student from Minnesota who attended Splash this past summer tragically died. In her short thirteen years, Sam touched many people, including everyone part of the Splash community.

Her bubbly personality brought a smile to everyone at Splash this past summer, and we are thankful God brought her to camp this year.

At camp, Sam took the opportunity to grow much deeper in her faith. According to her family group leader and youth leader, the week Sam spent at camp was incredibly important to her.

As her family and friends remember Sam on a Facebook remembrance page, many posts shared the joy Sam brought to the entire camp community, including fellow students, volunteers, and staff. Please share your memories of Sam there and view a few pictures of her time at camp.

Please pray for Sam's family as they go through this trying time. If you are in need of counseling over this matter, please get in touch with your local church or use the contact page for additional counseling.

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." -Revelation 21:4"
