“Our Mission is to evangelize, disciple and encourage in Christ young people and adults through weekend events, retreats and summer camp experiences.”

The Splash Story

In 1990, a group of Tentmaker-Trained Youth Directors recognized the need to offer a Jr. High Camp ministry. They met, planned and prayed. In 1991, Splash Ministries held its first camp at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch in Stewartville, MN. With only 25 youth and adults that year, Splash saw the beginning of a camp ministry that would go beyond its founders' wildest dreams. Falling short of cash to pay our bill, they prayed and God provided the funds through a generous donation of $1000. The next year, Splash held camp again and at the end of paying all the bills, there was exactly $1000 left over in the checkbook - seed money that would grow and multiply. Each year, Splash's camps grew and God continued to form the ministry. Splash was expanded to include retreats, family camps and high school camps.

Today, Splash Camps continues to meet the needs of churches seeking something that's different. Relational ministry is key at Splash. Unlike many camps with staffed counselors, churches that attend Splash are required to bring one adult per five youth to camp. After camp when the youth and go home, they will have a mentor who can continue what was started at camp by praying and holding them accountable for the things they have learned at camp. The effect is rippling, moving into their homes, churches, schools, work places and communities.

Ultimately, those who attend Splash Camps are sure to go home with a transformed heart for God.

Funding

Splash camps is a non-denominational Bible camp, and doesn’t receive any major funding from church synods, colleges, or any other sources. Because of this, Splash couldn’t be possible without private donations from people who want to help Splash's ministry to change the lives of youth and adults each summer.

Your entire donation to Splash is tax-deductible; you will receive a gift receipt from Splash Camps at the end of the year in response to your gift. Your name will NOT be added to any mailing list; however, you will get a camp update during the summer.
